Robbie was always my first choice for a drummer, as he has rhythm in his spirit, and a great spirit at that. I worked with him in the music technology industry for years and the bond that formed felt comfortably safe when I first moved to form a band that would bring my songs to life in an ensemble for the first time. He’s not just a drummer, he’s a gigging percussionist and has that percussionist’s subtle and dynamic approach to kit playing that I need and love. Basically, you could say that he hits like a man, but is as sensitive as a woman! (sorry Rob, but it’s true!). |
